1985 to Present: Independent Management Consultant specializing in business planning, acquisition analysis, business reorganization, business development, asset valuation, financial feasibility, investment analysis, financial planning, and financial reporting and control - worked for over a one hundred clients in a variety of businesses and not-for-profit enterprises.
During this period, a number of consulting engagements turned into positions requiring as much as eighty percent of my time, with direct management and fiduciary responsibility; notably: From 1986 to 1990, I was CEO of Jiffy Lube of Pennsylvania, Inc., a joint venture with Pennzoil, Inc.; and, from 2003 to 2007, I was Chairman and CEO of Lifestyle Magazine, Inc.
1980 to 1984: Headed the Financial Consulting Strategic Business Unit of the Philadelphia Consulting office of KPMG Peat Marwick. Managed a broad variety of engagements in all areas of financial planning, business development and financial control.
1977 to 1980: Financial Controller for a $10 million sales manufacturing subsidiary of Mobile Corporation. Responsible for supervising the accounting department, preparing financial statements, budgeting, preparing variance analysis and reporting to senior management.
